Turn those t-shirts into a work of art using the grid method of design. In this technique class you will learn how to make each t-shirt a unique block in your masterpiece quilt. Then you will be able to create your one-of-a-kind memory quilt.
These materials will be needed for the first class:
-9-12 T-shirts, clean & free from fabric softener
-Woven fusible stabilizer (amount will depend on the number of
t-shirts you use. Three yards should be enough for the first
-1⁄4” graph paper
-fabric markers (for light & dark fabrics)
-travel iron & pressing mat (if you have them)
-rotary cutter, cutting mat and ruler
-paper for notes
You will need the following supplies after all the t-shirts are cut & stabilized, and after your design is determined, so no need to bring a machine to the first class.
sewing machine w/1/4” foot
fabric for sashing (can use 2 1⁄2 “ strips)
